Hello Party Cat Pastry Fans!!  Yes…I know I have been gone for quite sometime now but for allllll the right reasons.  Party Cat Pastries went back to school.  It was such a great experience!  So much to talk about but its tough to put in 9 months of memories in a post

I got to meet all kinds of great people and great chefs.  You think you know it all but when you go to pastry school you come to realize that thats not the truth.  I had alot to learn and boy was it good stuff.  I wont bore you with pictures of cookies, cakes, tortes and bread but I will post some pictures of things that I did do during the year.  Here is a picture of me and one of my chef instructors.

 Not my favorite outfit for sure but I take pride now in my chef coats.    Here are a few cakes that I made for final projects.  I hope that you like them.

Baby Logan is coming into the world and what better way to say WELCOME than with a cake from Party Cat Pastries.  This cake is a 6 inch round double double chocolate chip cake stuffed with cookies and cream filling.  So yummy oh so so yummy!  The top of the cake has lil baby shoes that I made out of chocolate.  The rest was decorated with fondant accents.  Oh the possibilities!

Did I mention that I love super hero cakes?  Well Tron isnt a super hero but I still group them together.  Good guys, Bad Guys and cool powers and gizmos… Love them all!  I got a special request for a birthday party and they wanted a special TRON Cake but it had to be made out of cupcakes and it needed to be easy to pull apart.  No request is ever too big for Party Cat Pastries

Pretty darn close to the bike from the movie huh?  Not bad for 14 cupcakes grouped together huh?  The top is covered with black fondant and the blue is from fondant also.  The best part is the strawberry cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting colored black.  So yummuy!

Oh yeah My Little Pony is making a come back LOL!  What isnt?  Slap bracelets, leggings, hot pink nail polish…yeah the list goes on and on.  However My Little Pony never dies just like Mary Poppins will always rock my VCR Lol!!  I got to play with my childhood memories in making this special cake for a 4 year old little girl.  She had a special white my lil pony with purple hair.  My job was to replicate her toy and make it ALL edible.  No problem for Party Cat Pastries…

The cake is made out of a vanilla cake filled with whipped cream and fresh sliced strawberries!  So beautiful inside and out!  Happy birthday lil girl!!

Yup Yup!  Party Cat Pastries celebrated its first Birthday!  Yay!  Man looking back a year ago I never thought that we would be were we are today.  Ok so technically our birthday was April 4th but we have been busy at work and school.  Oh yeah!  SCHOOL is COOL!!  Better late than never right?  Anywho…I have been a slacker and I haven’t posted any new goodies on here and we have lots and lots of new stuff to add to the site.  Watch out PcP fans…  Our greatest creation was a last minute throw together within 20 hours!  I have a love/hate relationship with last minute cakes but man they always take a crazy turn for the better  In this case it turned out A-Mazing!!  The cake was for a birthday girl will big birthday girl and she had a passion for European monuments.  Granted Jai hasn’t been to Europe however it is on the bucket list.  Back to the cake… the clients boyfriend ordered it and he wanted to make sure that 3 major monuments made it on the cake.  Check it out for yourself… Can you name the monuments?  I got 2 out of 3  :)

Yeah…Its a sexy cake for sure!!  All the monuments are hand painted by ME out of vodka and black food paste.  Loved the freehand work… Feels like its been a long time.  The red flowers are made out of gumpaste.  Purty aint she?

Party Cat Pastries has been working hard to find new flavors to add to the list of yummy cakes and cupcakes.  So I put out a vote on Facebook to see which flavor people would respond too the quickest.  obviously Im going to try all of the flavors however I just couldnt decide on my own on which one to do first.  So the choices were…

1. Peaches and Cream Cheese Frosting
2. Cinnamon Banana and Cream Cheese Frosting
3. Hummingbird Cake and Cream Cheese Frosting

Well the vote came in and #2 took the vote “Cinnamon Banana and Cream Cheese Frosting” oh and by the way was it all worth it.  See for yourself…

Im sorry but the picture doesnt do it any justice.  Such a yummy treat specially when its warm.

All that was needed was a cup of MILK!  Oh yes… Its official… This has made it to the Party Cat Pastries Menu!

Keep your hands off me lucky charms… well and in this case keep your hands off me lucky truffles.  I do love my lucky charms but I think you and I will agree that these truffles are D-E-licious!!! Yummm… I am not Irish but I do really enjoy this Holiday, the food and of course the Green Beer.  Yummm!

We must ad truffles to this great celebration!! $12 a dozen.

I usually have a great name for my cakes but for some reason I cant find a name for this cake.  The pictures didnt do it justice.  The purple was so brilliant but the lighting was having a bad day I guess.

Its a fun cake.  The inside is even better… Double Double Chocolate Chip Cake with Cookies and Cream filling!  Heaven in such a small package.  Yumm! The frosting is buttercream frosting with fondant accents.  I had a lot of inspiration for this cake from the colors of Mardi Gras and from all the beads that I got from Gasperilla.  Good Times!

Kinda reminds me of a Peacock feather too.  See it was a tough cake to name.  The great thing about this cake is that it can go so many ways.  Add a couple of tiers and more colors and it would be so much fun.  I hope that the birthday girl enjoyed her yummy cake.

This was a first for Party Cat Pastries.  But it sure does prove that we can cater to anyones special request.  Just another specialty that PcP has added to the books.  We rock!!  :) Im sure it tasted pretty good!  Weird making a cake and not decorating it.  Easy as pie!
